Design and Organization

This is a good one!
If you have all the furniture pieces, a great layout, wall finishes, window treatments and all the accessories to pull it together but you have too much clutter and no place to put it, you need an organizer.
If you have plenty of space for all your items, They don’t get left out on surfaces and clutter up your home, but you are missing pieces such as a rug, main furniture pieces, window treatments, paint or wallpaper on the walls, you need a Designer.
If you marked yes for both, you need us! We do design and organizing!
Organizing

Yes and no, typically, there’s no need to tidy before we arrive as it’s important for us to see how you live, the flow of your space, and how you function. Plus, we tend to make a mess before it gets better. If we are working in a kitchen, we will need dishes to be clean so we can put them away and surfaces available (or we can always bring folding tables to work on if necessary).

While in your home for an organizing session, our team can give a few pointers or design tips, especially as it relates to the best organizing system. If you have more needs, it’s time to sign up for a more comprehensive design package.

Of course, you are welcome to do the work yourself but most of our clients like to hire a handyperson. We are happy to make the connections and manage the project for you with local trade partners.

Yes! We can set you up with the same organizer as often as you like. We have clients that book every two weeks, every month, or seasonally. This allows our busy clients to stay organized all year long while we tackle those high touch areas, change out for the seasons or holiday, or slowly chip away at the whole home.

Every session includes hauling and dropping off of donations. If you want to sell, we can discuss the pros and cons and places to do so.

We always begin with decluttering and decision-making. You can give us direction and we take it from there, or you can work alongside us or somewhere in between. We will find the right fit for you.

Typically, our clients don’t have the time and expertise to select organizing products so we do it for you. We have a lot of experience for what works in a variety of spaces. If you prefer to purchase the products, we will give you links or suggestions.

Predicting time is hard as each family, home, and needs are different. In-home sessions are typically 3-5 hours. To complete a project, it could range from 10 - 80 hours over a few days, weeks or months. We can definitely give you a rough estimate of hours needed to achieve your goals.
Designing

It is a time to get to know one another, make sure we are a good fit for a bigger project, and brainstorm potential ideas for your spaces. We will start with a tour of the spaces of concern including areas that you want to address “down the road”. Let’s look holistically as one room almost always affects the other.

No need to tidy as it’s important for me to see it in “it’s natural state” and don’t be embarrassed if your home is not what you want it to be. That’s why you called me, let’s solve your problems functionally and aesthetically!

While we definitely have some style favorites, don’t we all?!, we are happy to collaborate with you. It’s YOUR home and we want it to reflect YOU!

We are happy to work with your contractor. Alternatively, we may provide recommendations for our preferred trades. The choice is yours.

Full service design- you can plan anywhere from 4-9 months depending on the scale of the project and what is included.
Designer by your side is sold in packages of 10 hours or more. They will be utilized in 2 months. More hours = more time to use them.

We will have at least 3 meetings: Consultation, Design concept and Design presentation. More meetings may be added to look at samples and more. If we are doing any project management and working with trades and construction, more site visits will be added. Virtual meetings are a possibility in some instances as well.

Please communicate along the way so we don’t ever get the end of the project and you decide you don’t like it. The more we know and collaborate, the stronger the end result will be. We want to ensure you LOVE the space you are coming home to.

We believe good design can happen at (almost) any budget. We will work with you to establish a realistic budget and that will guide all of our decisions.

Typically yes. We want to help you make your space best reflect you and keeping the special pieces is…. Well, special! We will create the design to work with them. If there are items that we think no longer serve you, your ideas and desires, we can guide you on the best steps forward. Additionally, sometimes you just need a lil’ refresh… some new paint, styling, window treatments, etc and you keep the rest.

All projects are billed hourly and a retainer will be requested to begin. All services will be deducted from the retainers and invoiced monthly.
